Leroy Leggitt is a Professor of Geology at Loma Linda University (located in Southern California).  He conducted his PhD research on caddisfly-dominated reefs in Eocene Lake Gosiute (an ancient lake in Wyoming).  He firmly believes that “geology is learned in the field”, so has spent “innumerable” days in the mountains and deserts of California and Wyoming.  Photography has been a serious interest for the last decade.  His work is focused on geology (and biology) and is expressed in natural landscape and abstract prints.  Long-term exhibits of his work can be found in the School of Pharmacy and in the School of Dentistry (at LLU).  He has been successful in regional and local art competitions.
