How to Place a Bid
1. Bids may be submitted by phone (209-372-4871) from Saturday, August 16 to Thursaday, August 28, 2008 (until 12 noon PDT). Bids may also be submitted via email until 5 PM PDT, Thursday, August 28. Bids will also be accepted at the Silent Auction at the Ansel Adams Gallery, Yosemite, Wednesday, August 27 to Thursday, August 28, 2008. All bidders must submit their name, street address, phone number, artist's name, short title and a standard or maximum bid (see #4 below) in order for their bids to be considered official.
2. Bids are in U.S. dollars, at so much per lot (item). Payment is to be made in cash or by check or draft payable in U.S. dollars at any U.S. bank. (NOTE: payment by credit card MAY be available, but is not guaranteed.) Items will be held by Yosemite Renaissance pending receipt of payment for up to 14 days.
3. Submission of a bid constitutes acceptance of the Terms & Conditions included on these Web Pages, including the commitment to pay up to the full amount of the bid, plus California sales tax (if applicable), plus shipping & handling (if applicable).
4. IMPORTANT: Submission of a maximum (not to exceed) bid constitutes a request for bids to be entered on your behalf at the lowest amount possible consistent with the Bidding Increments outlined in the "Advice" section (see Terms & Conditions) and that such bidding shall not exceed the maximum which you indicate. (For example, if the current bid on an item is $200 you may specify your maximum bid at, say, $400. In this case a bid on your behalf will be made at $225 and the bidding on your behalf will go no further unless a higher bid is received from another bidder. If additional bids are received the bidding on your behalf will only go as high as is necessary for you to become the winning bidder or to $400, whichever is less. By this procedure you can be an active bidder without having to submit repeated bids on the same item.)
5. Bidding increments (the minimum bid increase over the current high bid) are as follows: $10 increase up to $100; then $25 increase up to $500; $50 increase up to $1,000; $100 increase up to $2,000; and $200 increase thereafter.
6. The highest Current Bid List will be posted beginning Saturday, August 16 at 11 PM PDT and revised every 24 hours thereafter until Wednesday, August 27 at 11 PM PDT. The current highest bidder will be identified on the Current Bids List by last name (plus first initial if needed to distinguish bidders from one another). Bidders who wish to remain anonymous for the purposes of this list should submit a password to be used instead.
