Hope Werness teaches art history at CSU Stanislaus. Prior to pursuing graduate degrees in 19th century and non-western art, she completed a BA in studio art from UC Santa Barbara. Her work has been exhibited in the CA State Fair; at Villa Montalvo (exhibition on St. Exupery’s Little Prince – grand prize winner), the SMUD Gallery in Sacramento, and in Yosemite Renaissance XIX. She is the author of three books on symbolism in art.
